The #1 Reason You Are Stuck (And what to do instead…)

image_4.18.14.2I want to know, is fear the main reason you are not taking action to create what you want in your life, career, or relationships?

I bet you’d say, “Yes!”

This is why you most likely are feeling paralyzed, hide under the covers, and doubt yourself out of doing the thing you know deep in your heart you want to do.

It’s not your fault and there is a solution.

I have news for you and you may not like what I’m going to say.

It’s not FEAR that is in the way.
It’s not YOU that is in the way.
It’s not DOUBT that is in the way.
It’s not RESISTANCE that is in the way.
It’s not LOW SELF-ESTEEM that is in the way.

Then what is it?

Ahem, YOU are waiting for someone else to give you permission to do it.

You don’t want to be responsible or take ownership because you don’t want to fail, look like a fool, or prove “them” right.

Ok, I know you may not agree with me, and I totally understand that. You may even feel a bit pissed at me, and I get that too! See, I used to feel the same way. I had every reason under the sun to use FEAR, RESISTANCE and DOUBT to not go for what I wanted.

This is what kept me from going to fashion design school when all I wanted in the world was to become a fashion designer. I was waiting for someone else to give me permission to do it.

And it never came and I never went for it.

Life worked out pretty well because I did give myself permission to become a stylist, and had a career in fashion for over 12 years, which was amazing. But I always wondered what would’ve happened if I had gone after what I really wanted.

When I released fear and gave myself permission to go for it, everything changed.

One day, when I was working with coaching clients, I realized that I’m not the only one who does this. We all are using fear, resistance, doubt or fill in the blank to stay “safe” where we are, even though we want to change it.

After reading hundreds of Clarity Session applications, speaking to thousands of women, and working with incredible clients over the years, I’ve found what the missing ingredient is: PERMISSION.

Permission to design a life, career, and relationship you want to have – and deserve.

So, enough talking, let’s turn this story around and take action.

Let’s do some housekeeping so you can clear up what is in the way of you doing the BIG thing you want to do in your life.

First, you must call yourself out on the #1 thing you are waiting for someone else to give you permission to do. Be radically honest with yourself, it’s uncomfortable, and worth it.

To get there, you may ask yourself what are you afraid to do, or where you are doubting yourself. This is how you are coping and not taking action.

Once you have that, then we can roll.

Now, let’s get to reframe time. Let’s create your Permission Statement.

Fill in the script below and add in what it is you want to release, and what you want to create.

I give myself permission to release (whatever your mind says is in the way) and take ownership of my (whatever you want ownership of). Every day it gets easier for me to take baby steps towards (whatever it is you are creating). I am enough and trust the Universe has my back.

Now step into your power and enjoy owning your blessed life.

Say your Permission Statement every day outloud with enthusiasm while looking in the mirror. (Even if you feel awkward, it will work. I’ve had clients not into this at first who use it, and they were amazed at how it shifted them.)

Now it’s time to own this, gorgeous. Let’s do this together…

In the comments below, share your permission statement and report back how it feels to start giving yourself permission.

Remember, the only permission you need is your own. You have it in you to accomplish and obtain whatever your soul desires. YOU are enough, and YOU design your future.

We all need to hear this. Share this with a friend who is holding back on their soul’s potential…
